Mr Yassir Saleim

Director, Child Rights Institute - Sudan

Mr Saleim is the Director of the Child Rights Institute of Sudan, an active and strong Sudanese civil society advocating for children rights and protection. Mr Saleim has conducted different studies and situation analysis of children rights in Sudan including violence agains children,  child Online Protection, persons with Disability in Sudan...etc.

Mr Saleim is a member of a number of professional associations and participates in various national initiatives in the Sudan. He is a member of the Committee for developing regulations related to corporal punishment that is prohibited in educational institutions in The Sudan.  He is also the founder of Child Rights forum in Sudan, a network of CSOs working in child rights. He is also a member of the first board of Custodians of the the AfricaWide Movement for Children (AMC) and served as its North Africa Coordinator. Mr Yassir Saleim is also a member of African Civil Society Forum as well. 

Mr Saleim is a Sudanese national, and holds a BA in Arts from the University of Khartoum, and a  Bachelor in Law and Sharia from the Omdurman Islamic University.
